Deadlock Past Dues Sleep Aura What the Greenwich Haunt Does and What Stays Unconfirmed

Past Dues is a Haunt in Deadlock’s City Never Sleeps update, and no source I found says it has a Sleep aura. Haunts replaced the old neutral camps on September 29, 2026, and Past Dues belongs to the Greenwich district as a book-themed creature. The confirmed attack is a thrown book at medium and large sizes. This guide covers what sources document, the shared Haunt stats, and why you should not plan around a Sleep aura or a channel interrupt.

⚡ Quick Intel: Past Dues Haunt

  • Type: Haunt, replaces neutral camps
  • Location: Greenwich district
  • Known attack: Thrown book, melee otherwise
  • Sleep aura: Not confirmed
  • Update: City Never Sleeps, Sep 29, 2026

What Is the Past Dues Haunt?

Keengamer’s patch note write-up says Valve “replaced every neutral camp with new Haunts.” It describes Past Dues as the Greenwich Lane Haunt, “a book-themed creature tied to the university setting.” Senseos adds that Past Dues is one of nine Haunt families named on Valve’s update page. Neonsect lists the nine Haunts by area and places Past Dues in the Greenwich section.

Does Past Dues Have a Sleep Aura?

No source confirms it. I checked Keengamer, Neonsect, Senseos, the Deadlock wiki’s Haunt update history and the Halloween update coverage on Esports.gg. None mentions a Sleep aura for Past Dues or any other Haunt.

Two explanations seem possible. The aura may exist but go undocumented, or the keyword may describe something else, such as a hero ability. Because I cannot tell which, I will not describe a sleep effect, a range or a counter. If you have a screenshot or a clip that shows it, send it and I will update this article.

What Past Dues Does Confirm

Senseos pulls its data from the game files. For the medium and large versions, its table lists “A thrown book; otherwise the files set it to melee only.” The table does not describe the small version.

Therefore, the safe takeaways are these:

  1. Expect a ranged attack. Medium and large Past Dues throw books.
  2. Expect melee up close. Otherwise it fights in melee only.
  3. Check the HUD. Keengamer says Haunts now show soul value and comparative difficulty in combat.

Past Dues Stats and Health

Senseos says every Haunt family in the files shares its tier’s health, souls and resists. It gives no Past Dues-specific figures, so treat these as shared tier values. I do not know which tier your Past Dues camp uses, so check the HUD.

ItemDetail
Small129 health, 41 souls at 0:00
Medium322 health, 68 souls at 0:00
Large1,133 health, 181 souls at 0:00
Small resists50% bullet, 45% spirit
Large resists60% bullet, 55% spirit

Senseos reports that souls rise by 1.08% of the starting value each minute, health by 2.1% a minute and damage by 0.5% a minute. These numbers come from game data builds 6728 and 6731, dated October 1, 2026, and Senseos updated the guide on October 27. Valve may have changed them since.

Respawn Timers and Camp Spawns

ItemDetail
Small respawn1:25
Medium respawn4:50
Large respawn5:35
First spawnsSmall 2:00, medium 5:00, large 8:00

Senseos says the respawn timer starts when the last Haunt in a camp dies. It gives no timer for a camp that holds Past Dues. Also, Keengamer says the game now shows respawn timers in the world for Haunt camps and the Midboss.

Where to Find Past Dues

Greenwich is the only location the sources give. Neither Keengamer nor Senseos names the camp or its exact spot, and the Deadlock wiki’s update history lists camp moves but not Past Dues. As a result, I cannot give a camp position on the map. Look in the Greenwich district and use the HUD difficulty marker to confirm the camp.

How to Farm Past Dues Haunts

Deadlock Past Dues Haunt guide featuring a ghostly book creature with glowing purple eyes in Greenwich.

No source gives Past Dues farming tips. Senseos offers general camp advice, such as “Finish what you start,” and taking small camps between waves. The tips below are my advice, based on the confirmed numbers.

  1. Clear small camps early. They spawn at 2:00 and respawn in 1:25.
  2. Check the HUD first. Soul value and difficulty show before you commit.
  3. Respect the resists. Large Haunts resist 60% of bullet damage and 55% of spirit damage, so expect slow kills.
  4. Do not leave a camp half dead. The respawn timer starts only when the last Haunt falls.
  5. Watch the lane. Taking a camp between waves keeps you safe.

Bounty Changes

The Deadlock wiki records neutral bounty changes through 2026. On January 20, 2026, neutral respawn times, health and bounty dropped by 30%. The City Never Sleeps entry for September 29, 2026 says only that neutrals became Haunts and that many new Haunt types arrived. Keengamer lists no bounty changes. Therefore, I cannot give a Past Dues bounty beyond the shared tier values above.

Halloween Content

Esports.gg covers a Halloween update with pumpkin-headed jungle monsters, masks and Jack-O-Lanterns, but it gives no year and does not mention Past Dues. Therefore, do not link the Past Dues Haunt to a Halloween event.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Planning around a Sleep aura. No source confirms one.
  • Searching for a channel interrupt. No source documents one.
  • Treating tier stats as Past Dues stats. They come from shared tier values.
  • Hunting for a Halloween Haunt. The Halloween coverage is separate.
  • Trusting old neutral numbers. Haunts replaced neutral camps.

Last verified: November 3, 2026, against Keengamer, Neonsect, Senseos, the Deadlock wiki and Esports.gg. Haunt numbers come from October 2026 game data and may change.
