Phasmophobia Crimson Eye 2026: Dates, Maps, Points, Rewards and Twitch Drops

Phasmophobia’s Crimson Eye event is live now and runs from October 8 to November 1, 2026. You earn event points by playing the active Blood Moon maps, which means identifying the ghost correctly, finishing optional objectives and interacting with Blood Moon totems. Points unlock community rewards like the Beholder ID Card and Badge set, plus personal rewards like cosmetics and upgrades to the event trophy. A separate Twitch drop gives you the Crimson Eye tee for watching two hours of Phasmophobia streams, but it ends on October 15.

What the Phasmophobia Crimson Eye Event Is

Phasmophobia Crimson Eye event featuring a blood-red moon, a ghostly apparition, a haunted house, and the Event Board. Highlights Blood Moon mechanics, including 15% faster ghosts, 100% increased sanity drain, more frequent ghost events, a 2% natural occurrence chance, and the October 2026 seasonal event schedule.

Crimson Eye is Phasmophobia’s yearly Halloween event from Kinetic Games. Selected maps get a red makeover and permanent Blood Moon weather, and every player’s progress feeds a shared community goal alongside a personal one.

Both goals are tracked on the Event Board in the lobby.

The Blood Moon is the mechanic, and Crimson Eye is the event built around it. According to GameRant’s guide, Blood Moon hunts make ghosts 15% faster, sanity drain runs 100% higher and ghost events happen more often. In plain terms, you have less time before a hunt starts, so turn the lights on early and don’t wander around in the dark.

Outside the event, Blood Moon is extremely rare. Screen Hype reports a 2% natural chance, and it is the one weather condition you cannot request with the Monkey Paw. If you want to practice it, this is your window.

This year’s update arrived on October 7, a day later than Kinetic first planned, but the event itself still started on October 8. The studio also added a seasonal event toggle in the patch, which lets you switch the event maps on or off for your session.

Crimson Eye 2026 Maps

Eight locations are in the event pool, and only four are active on any given day. Look for the Crimson Eye icon on the map selection board to see which ones count today.

MapNotes
6 Tanglewood DriveReworked this year
42 Edgefield RoadReturning event map
Grafton FarmhouseReturning event map
13 Willow StreetReworked this year
Bleasdale FarmhouseReturning event map
Point HopeStandard version only
Camp WoodwindReturning event map
Nell’s DinerFirst time in the Crimson Eye pool

Two details are easy to miss. Point Hope Restricted is not part of the event, so only the regular Point Hope counts. And because Tanglewood and Willow Street were reworked, old layout knowledge from last year’s event may not hold up.

If you want a normal investigation without Blood Moon, use the toggle to turn the event maps off for your session.

How to Earn Crimson Eye Points

There are three ways to earn points, and all of them require an active event map.

  1. Identify the ghost correctly. This is the main objective of every contract, and it is where most of your points come from. Screen Hype notes that a correct identification is the biggest single source of points, so a clean run beats a messy one.
  2. Finish optional objectives. Each contract gives you three random side tasks. They already pay bonus cash and XP, and during Crimson Eye they add to your event progress too. Some are quick, like cleansing near the ghost with incense. Others, like having a teammate witness a ghost event, take more effort.
  3. Interact with Blood Moon totems. Totems look like floating red moons above black pedestals and only appear on the day’s event maps. Destructoid reports around three to six per map. Interacting makes the totem vanish and awards points. GameRant lists 2 points per totem this year.

How difficulty changes your points

Difficulty matters more than most players expect. Contracts below a 1x difficulty multiplier award no event points at all, so turning the difficulty down will cost you progress. Screen Hype reports an extra point for each 1x of the multiplier. On Nightmare, which is 4x, that means 4 extra points.

I couldn’t find an official breakdown of the exact points for a correct identification or each optional objective this year, and some earlier-year guides list different numbers. For those two, trust the end-of-contract summary screen, which shows what you actually earned.

Phasmophobia Crimson Eye Rewards

Rewards are split into community goals, which the whole player base fills together, and personal goals, which only you can complete.

RewardType
Beholder ID Card and Badge setFirst community goal
Crimson Eye event charm and a foil (animated) Beholder ID CardSecond community goal
Crimson Eye cosmetics, including the seasonal event teePersonal goals
Upgrades to the Crimson Eye trophyPersonal goals

Outlets differ slightly on details. Destructoid lists four goalposts, while TheGamer mentions five personal goals, and the second community reward is described as either a foil or an animated Beholder card. Check your Event Board for the final list, since it reflects the live game.

A few rules that matter:

  • The trophy carries over. If you unlocked the Crimson Eye trophy in a previous year, you keep upgrading that same trophy. You don’t get a second one.
  • Claim before November 1. Screen Hype says you keep a reward permanently as long as you complete and claim it before the event ends.
  • No catch-up later. Time-limited rewards generally can’t be earned after the event expires.
  • Community goals fill fast. Screen Hype says the community usually hits the global target within a few days, so your own effort matters most for the personal rewards.

Crimson Eye Twitch Drops

The Twitch drop is the quickest reward. Watch a total of two hours of Phasmophobia streams and you receive the Crimson Eye tee. The campaign runs from the moment the event begins until 11:59 PM BST on October 15, 2026.

For US viewers, that deadline works out to:

Time zoneDeadline
Eastern (EDT)6:59 PM, October 15
Central (CDT)5:59 PM, October 15
Mountain (MDT)4:59 PM, October 15
Pacific (PDT)3:59 PM, October 15

The watch time is cumulative, so you can split it across several streams. Make sure your Twitch account is linked and that you are watching a channel that is actually eligible for the campaign. Kinetic’s own Twitch Drops page is the place to check the setup details.

One point of confusion: Pixel Twelve reports that the Twitch tee and the in-game seasonal tee are different rewards. Don’t assume getting one covers the other.

Key Dates for the Rest of the Event

DateWhat happens
October 8Crimson Eye begins, Twitch drop opens
October 15Twitch drop ends (11:59 PM BST), Double XP and Rewards begins
October 22Double XP and Rewards ends
October 26 to November 1Ghost Hunts 4 Hearts with the American Heart Association
November 1Crimson Eye ends

During the double week, all rewards from completed investigations are doubled. Kinetic says last year’s charity run raised over $100,000 and that this year’s version will be open to all players and creators, with more details promised closer to the date.

Tips to Finish Crimson Eye Faster

Only play the active maps. Maps that aren’t marked with the red moon don’t count. Check the board before you ready up.

Play at the highest difficulty you can reliably clear. The multiplier adds points, but only if you identify the ghost. A failed run on Nightmare earns you less than a clean run one tier lower.

Prioritize identification over everything else. Make sure you have all three pieces of evidence before you commit. A wrong guess wastes a whole contract.

Grab totems early, but don’t stay in dark rooms. Under Blood Moon your sanity drops twice as fast. Move through the dark areas quickly, and turn the lights on to hold off hunts.

Check your progress between runs. The end-of-contract summary and the lobby Event Board tell you exactly where you stand, which is more reliable than any third-party number.

Plan around October 15. If you want both the Twitch tee and the double rewards week, watch your two hours before the deadline, then save your longer sessions for October 15 to 22.

Common Mistakes

  • Playing below 1x difficulty. It earns zero event points.
  • Choosing Point Hope Restricted. Only the standard map counts.
  • Missing the Twitch deadline. It ends on October 15 in British time, which falls earlier in the day for US players.
  • Forgetting to claim rewards. Complete and claim before November 1.
  • Expecting a new trophy. Returning players upgrade the one they already own.

Conclusion

Crimson Eye is a simple event once you know the rules. Stick to the day’s red moon maps, identify the ghost, clear your optional objectives, grab every totem and keep the difficulty at 1x or above. Grab the Twitch tee before October 15 and use the double rewards week to speed up the rest. Everything here is accurate as of October 9, 2026, but Kinetic may adjust details during the event.
