Sky: Children of the Light Office Krill guide showing the TGC office rooftop, flying krill, Secret Area entrance, cape requirements and Days of Mischief event details.
Find the hidden TGC office through the Vault of Knowledge, meet the rooftop krill and take part in the 2026 Days of Mischief community goal.

Sky Children of the Light Office Krill How to Reach the TGC Rooftop and the Secret Office

The krill are back on the roof of the thatgamecompany (TGC) office in Sky: Children of the Light, and you reach the office through the Secret Area in the Vault of Knowledge. During Days of Mischief, which runs from October 23 to November 12, the rooftop krill hug Sky kids and launch them into the air without stealing Winged Light. This guide covers the route, the cape requirement and the 2026 Community Goal.

⚡ Quick Intel: Sky Office Krill

  • Event: Days of Mischief, Oct 23 to Nov 12
  • Krill hugs: Launch you, no Winged Light lost
  • Route: Vault of Knowledge, Secret Area
  • Entry: Beta or Founder’s Cape, or hold a caped hand
  • Community Goal: 250,000 hugs by Nov 6

What Is New With the Krill in 2026

The official “This Month in Sky” post says the krill are back on the TGC office rooftop. Their hugs, which the community also calls tackles, launch Sky kids upward. The krill will not take your Winged Light on this visit.

Sky’s first in-game Community Goal ties into this. If players collectively receive 250,000 hugs between October 23 and November 6, everyone gets a special memento in their inbox. Therefore, visiting the rooftop helps the whole community, not just you.

How to Get to the Secret Office

Sky: Children of the Light Office Krill guide showing the route to the Secret Office in the Vault of Knowledge, with seven illustrated steps, glowing candle-lit passages, hidden entrances, and the special gate.

The office sits inside the Secret Area, a hidden zone in the Vault of Knowledge. A 2021 Gameranx guide describes the route, and the entrance has stayed the same in the sources I checked. These steps come from that guide.

  1. Travel to the Vault of Knowledge. It is the sixth realm.
  2. Enter through the Social Space. Use the entrance near the Spirit Stones and the portal back Home.
  3. Go to the main elevator chamber. Then turn around in the starting room.
  4. Face the stairs. The ladder on the archives sits to your right.
  5. Find the dark corner with an active candle. Look for a “rectangular dark spot” in the wall and walk through it.
  6. Follow the dark passage. Light the lanterns along the way to reach a field of flowers.
  7. Reach the special gate. You need a cape to pass, as explained below.

Because the guide dates from 2021, check that the route still matches your game. If the wall or lanterns look different, a later update may have moved something.

Cape and Access Requirements

The gate needs a Beta Cape or a Founder’s Cape. You can also pass by holding the hand of a player who has one.

Beta CapeOnly for Beta players
Founder’s CapeCosts $30 in the in-game store, per the guide
Free routeHold the hand of a caped player
Rare NPCA blue-caped NPC may appear outside

If a blue-caped player waits outside, befriend them with a candle and hold their hand to enter. The guide suggests giving at least one candle. As a result, you do not need to buy a cape for a single visit, although you do need a friendly helper.

Pocket Gamer’s 2024 event guide says the Secret Area is reachable from the Vault of Knowledge without a special cape. That conflicts with the 2021 guide, and I could not resolve it. Test the gate yourself and ask in the Sky community if it blocks you.

What You Will Find Inside

The office copies the real offices of thatgamecompany, the studio behind Sky and Journey. According to the 2021 guide, it has several floors, spirits to visit and another sub-area. On rare occasions the lights go out and a TV in the Meeting Room switches on. Jumping through it leads to a hidden area outside the International Space Station, where you can explore the exterior only.

Dark Dragons, Toilets and Other Details

Your search terms mention Dark Dragons, a toilet Easter egg and a rooftop route. Here is what I could verify.

ItemDetail
Dark Dragons vs. CrabsA new Days of Mischief game, with no published location or rules
Dark Dragons in the officeNot confirmed
Toilet krill Easter eggNot confirmed
Rooftop routeKrill confirmed on the roof, but no step-by-step route found

Because no source I opened describes the toilet Easter egg or a path to the rooftop, I will not invent either. Instead, explore the office floors and look up. If you find the rooftop route, note the exact steps and share them with the community.

Other Days of Mischief Activities

The event also brings a Cackling Crab theme with tiny witch Brigitta, whom one outlet spells Bridget, plus other seasonal characters. Broom Races return, and the Dark Dragons vs. Crabs game is new. A costumed Community Eden Run takes place on October 30 at 5 PM PDT with Festival Tech enabled.

Tips Before You Go

  • Bring a friend. A caped player gets you through the gate.
  • Light every lantern. The passage needs them.
  • Visit before November 6. The Community Goal ends then.
  • Check the inbox. The memento arrives there if the goal succeeds.
  • Update the game. Event content needs the latest version.

Last verified: October 31, 2026. Event dates come from the official This Month in Sky post and a second news report.
