The First Descendant Update 10.15 Patch Notes Freyna, Enzo, Monster Hunter and Onslaught Stage 5

The First Descendant Update 10.15, officially called Update 1.4.5, went live on Thursday, October 15, 2026 on Steam, PS5 and Xbox. It reworks Freyna and Ultimate Freyna, rebalances Gley and Enzo, adds the Monster Hunter Transcendent assault rifle, and opens Onslaught Stage 5. It also adds a second Trials dungeon, a daily Transcendent Weapon drop boost and a Halloween Pass. The Enzo change is not a pure nerf: his Max Shield scaling dropped, but his damage cap and Firearm ATK bonus rose.

Summary: The First Descendant Update 10.15 (1.4.5)

  • Release: October 15, 2026, on Steam, PS5 and Xbox.
  • Freyna: damage scales with Max MP up to +200%, and most Toxic damage over time rose by about 60%.
  • Enzo and Gley: Enzo’s Firing Specialist triggers with half the rounds, and Gley’s Explosive Life now scales with Skill Power.
  • Weapon: Monster Hunter is a Transcendent assault rifle with General Rounds and chain explosions.
  • Onslaught Stage 5: six waves, a Colossus finale and 93,300 Arche Activity for Public Operations.
  • HQ Special Orders: new schedule from October 21, with one pick from 7 Weapon Core types.
  • Events: Halloween Pass, a +15% Transcendent Weapon boost and Descendant’s Weekend run through mid-November.

What Is The First Descendant Update 10.15?

Nexon names the patch Update 1.4.5, and the October 15 date comes from its October Developer Note. The official patch notes cover Steam, Xbox and PS5, and the update ended Phase 2 of Karel’s Mothership Conquest. You can read also in the official Update 1.4.5 patch notes.

The patch has three main themes. First, it rebalances three Descendants. Second, it adds new endgame content with Onslaught Stage 5 and a second Trials dungeon. Third, it adds a new Transcendent Weapon and a daily boost system to chase it.

Nexon posted the notes on October 14 and edited them after launch, so the page carries timestamped corrections. One example: Nexon removed a section on boost drop-rate changes that was listed in error and added the Rotational Boost System instead. Because of those edits, check the live page if a number looks different from this article.

Ultimate Freyna Rework and Stats

Freyna gets the biggest rework. Her Synchronization Value drops from 1.752 to 1.602, but her skills gain two big boosts. All of her damage now scales with Max MP, and her Toxic damage over time rises sharply.

ChangeBeforeAfter
Damage bonus from Max MPNoneMax MP x 30.8%, capped at +200%
Toxic Puddle continuous damageSkill Power x 240.6%Skill Power x 385.0%

Putrid Venom Toxic Swamp damageSkill Power x 242.9%Skill Power x 388.5%
Defense MechanismStandard skillToxic Trigger, with Active Camouflage for 15 s and +20% move speed
Venom BaptismTimed effectDuration removed, and Unique Weapons cut Grappling Hook charge time by 46%

JEU.VIDEO reports that the Max MP bonus tops out at 645 MP. The Toxic Trigger skill also creates a Catalyst Zone that converts remaining damage over time into direct damage, then makes enemies immune to it for 2 seconds. For a general look at how class builds work in other looter shooters, see our Destiny 2 Warlock builds guide.

The Transcendent Modules changed as well. Toxic Stimulation shares Catalyst Zone with allies at an 80% conversion rate. Neurotoxin Synthesis adds Venom Veil, a spray that pushes enemies back and grants camouflage. Toxic Mixture halves the Necrosis stack cap from 100 to 50 but adds 15% Skill Critical Hit Rate and swaps Firearm ATK for Skill Power. Venom Injection now scales with Max Shield instead of Max MP, at 0.33% per point and capped at +200%.

Gley and Enzo Rebalance: Is the Enzo Shield Change a Nerf?

The short answer is no, at least not entirely. Enzo’s per-shield scaling went down, but almost everything around it went up.

Enzo changeBeforeAfter
Rounds for Firing Specialist (General and Special)56 each28 each
Rounds for Firing Specialist (Impact)147
Rounds for Firing Specialist (High-Power)146
Firearm (Explosive) ATK increase75%105%
Damage multiplier per Max Shield0.69%0.40%
Max damage multiplier171.0%280.0%
Compressed Bullet module ATK increase125%155%
Reinforce Front Line effect range9.0 m12.0 m

In other words, the Max Shield coefficient fell by about 42%, yet the cap rose from 171% to 280%, and Firing Specialist now needs half the rounds. Whether you lose or gain damage depends on your shield total and build, so test your own setup. One more catch: the October Developer Note preview said the Reinforce Front Line range would be 22.5 meters, but the final notes list 12.0 meters. Use the patch notes number.

Nexon also explained a design change. The Firearm ATK bonus that was meant to come from Explosive Drone moved into the passive Firing Specialist, because repeated skill use to keep a short buff felt tiring in testing.

Gley’s changes are broader:

  • Maximize Lethality: Firearm Critical Hit Rate rises from 10% to 15%.
  • Thirst: life spheres restore 12% of Max HP instead of 4%.
  • Blood and Iron: the passive triggers 80% of the time with a melee weapon, up from 50%, and Power of Life gained rises from 10 to 25.
  • Explosive Life: firearm bonuses are gone. Skill Power +30% and Skill Critical Hit Rate +25% replace them, and the skill modifier rises from 2,534.5% to 4,578.3%.
  • Demonic Modification: explosion damage rises from 5,109.7% to 8,942.0%.

New Trigger Module and Melee Attack Speed Changes

The update adds one Trigger Module, Prepping in the Dark. A Ground damage-over-time skill grants Gap, and while Gap is active, a Concealment skill grants Ambush Setup. That lowers Skill 4’s cooldown and raises Toxic Skill Power, which fits the new Freyna kit.

Nexon also raised the acquisition chance for Trigger Module Loot L, as the table shows.

ContentBeforeAfter
Cradle of Evolution8.6%11.5%
Karel’s Mothership (Normal)36.4%48.5%
Karel’s Mothership (Hard)48.5%64.7%

Melee weapons got a speed compression. Base attack speeds rose for four weapons, while the Attack Speed Modifier now caps at 30%.

Deus Ex Manus1.47/s2.314/s
Hypernova2.832/s4.464/s

As a result, slow-art modules lost most of their penalty, with Attack Speed dropping by 10% instead of 30%. The Tactical Acceleration module’s cooldown also fell from 18 s to 12 s.

Monster Hunter Transcendent Weapon

The First Descendant Monster Hunter Transcendent assault rifle guide showing Hunter’s Sense weapon effects, critical-hit and ricochet mechanics, and the Rotational Boost System with a daily +15% weapon acquisition chance bonus.

Monster Hunter is a new Transcendent assault rifle that fires General Rounds. It drops as Transcendent Weapon Loot in existing content where those weapons can be obtained.

Its effect, Hunter’s Sense, works in layers:

  • Attacking a Colossus raises Additional Weapon ATK while you hold the rifle.
  • After a certain number of shots, a chain explosion hits the impact point and spreads, and stacking it on one target lowers the explosion damage.
  • Critical hits build up the shot count faster.
  • A critical hit on a Normal Monster, Elite Monster or Tyrant grants you Hunter’s Sense stacks, and at max stacks it resets to 1 and deals ricochet damage.
  • A critical hit on a Tyrant, Commander or Colossus inflicts Monster Hunter, so further critical hits deal extra damage.

A new Rotational Boost System helps you farm it. Each day, 2 content types get a +15% Transcendent Weapon Acquisition Chance Boost, marked with an icon under Ongoing Events on the map. Target content includes Onslaught, Sigma Sector, Cradle of Evolution, Axion Plains Battlefield Missions, Trials, Infiltration Operations, Void Vessel, Karel’s Mothership and Axion Plains Infiltration Operations. The boost is a separate multiplier, so the final rate is Base x (1 + other boosts) x (1 + Rotational Boost). Because of that, it is a 15% relative increase, not 15 extra percentage points. If you like comparing weapons across games, our Warframe weapon tier list shows how we rank them.

Onslaught Stage 5: Requirements and Rewards

Stage 5 unlocks once you clear Stage 4 one time. You enter through Albion’s Tactical Transport Control or the World Map. It has six waves, and a Colossus appears after the final wave.

The rules matter:

  • Public Operations: need 93,300 Arche Activity.
  • Private Operations: you can start these below that level.
  • The Tyrant: it walks toward the Energy Concentration Point, and each time it arrives, Energy drops by 10%. Barricades can block it.
  • Weak points: the Tyrant, Commander and Colossus have added Weak Point Damage Resistance, and regular monsters have no weak point adjustment.

Transcendent Weapons from Stage 5 loot have a Quality of 301 to 400. The weekly Onslaught reward stays the same, but a Stage 5 run guarantees an Ancestors Module with at least one Transcendent Tier option.

HQ Special Orders and the Weapon Core Selector

A new HQ Special Orders schedule runs from October 21 at 00:00 PDT to November 22 at 22:59 PST. The old schedule stays active until October 20 at 23:59 PDT. The big quality-of-life change is that Core rewards are combined, so you can pick one of 7 Core types.

The Core options are Firepower, Attribute, Hit, Hit (Variant AB), Precision, Special and Tactical Augmentation Core X, four of each. Attempts per cycle are limited: 4 each for Descendant, Weapon and Fellow rewards, 3 for Anais’s Research Material Box I, 1 for Box II and 4 for the Core quest.

The first window, October 21 to 23, offers Ultimate Freyna parts for four Infiltration Operations, and the Core quest needs five Void Intercept Battles on Extreme difficulty. Later windows rotate through Vespers Hunting Dog, Ultimate Gley, Enzo and other parts, so check the in-game board each cycle.

Events, Halloween Pass and US Times

Nexon lists event times in Pacific time. Eastern time is three hours ahead.

Descendant’s Weekend adds +20% Descendant EXP, Weapon Proficiency and Unique Arche Factor EXP in Karel’s Mothership, Infiltration Operations and Sigma Sector every Friday to Sunday until November 15. The Halloween Pass is free to progress, and its rewards include a Little Red Riding Hood costume and a Big Bad Wolf mask. Players at Mastery Rank 20 or below also get a Growth Support mission.

Other Changes Worth Knowing

  • Trials: a second dungeon, Protocol 002 (Legion of Immortality), alternates daily at 00:00 PDT with Protocol 001 (Order of Truth). Entry rules and rewards are identical.
  • Ammo: max carry rises to 600 General, 400 Special, 150 Impact and 100 High-Power rounds, but drop chances fall in most content.
  • Field Missions: a recommended Arche Activity value replaces monster level.
  • Hammer and Anvil: the default mode is now Anvil.
  • Loadouts: Options now offer 5 loadouts for Keyboard and Mouse, and for Controller.
  • Brazil: the age rating changes from 12+ to 18+.

What Is Not in the Patch Notes

Nexon’s October Developer Note also covered a Transcendent Weapon Retirement and Rerun system. The 1.4.5 notes do not describe it, and JEU.VIDEO reports it is planned for the November update. Treat that as unconfirmed until Nexon posts details. The same goes for any exact Monster Hunter damage numbers, since the notes list effects but no values.

Tips and Common Mistakes

  • Calling the Enzo change a nerf. The cap and ATK bonus rose.
  • Using old Freyna guides. The Max MP scaling and Toxic damage numbers changed.
  • Missing the boost icon. Check Ongoing Events on the map to see today’s two boosted activities.
  • Entering Public Stage 5 under-leveled. It needs 93,300 Arche Activity.
  • Trusting the 22.5 m Enzo range. The final notes say 12.0 m.
  • Forgetting the HQ schedule switch. The new rewards start October 21.

Conclusion

The First Descendant Update 10.15 reworks Freyna, boosts Gley and gives Enzo easier Firing Specialist triggers. It also brings the Monster Hunter rifle, Onslaught Stage 5 and a daily Transcendent Weapon boost. Read your own module numbers before you rebuild, and keep an eye on Nexon’s page for edits.
